Happy Memorial Day Eve, part 02

I really don't have new things to share...just wanted to add the pictures that Sara took from last night!

Sara took these pictures of the cactus from our front and back yard

Brian & Catherine getting the lobster ready for dinner. Please take note of the fabulous apron Sara made for me!

Goofing around playing 8, 7, 6. We couldn't stop laughing when we got down to 1. We took the pictures, looked at them and then realized we all had just cheated by accidentally looking at our cards through the picture! So much fun!!!
Brian trying to be nice to me after I beat him! Just kidding...we were just playing around! Isn't he great!

Happy Memorial Day Eve

Brian's mom, Sara, has been in town since Friday. It has been great having her in town! It has been a leisure visit which I think we all have enjoyed...no running around every where. Last night we invited Patrick and Kate (and their dogs, Duke & Dakota) over for dinner. We had a delicious fruit salad that Sara made, lobster, shrimp, bbq chicken and BLUEBELL ICE CREAM!!! :)

Trying to get Patrick to smile...

Still trying

So Patrick really wanted a grapefruit...though we were about to have dinner. Notice Dakota hiding under the bench just hoping Patrick drops something. It was so funny!

After Patrick & Kate left we pulled out the cards and started playing 8, 7, 6. I won the first round and Sara one the second! About half way through the second game we heard banging outside. We all got up from our seats and headed out side where we saw fireworks from one of the near-by resorts.

It was such a great night. We all had so much fun enjoying a great meal and each others company! What a blessing friends and family are!

Bridgeport + Balloons = very scared puppy

Bridgeport is Philips dog. She is part Pit Bull and part Jack Russell Terrier. Though that sounds like a scary dog she really is a big sweety. Well, after Valerie's going away party we had a bundle of balloons left over that had a clip attached to it. Philip took the bundle out of the 'burb and thought it would be cute to attach it to Bridgeport's harness. She immediately hits the ground.
Philip is comforting her...

Look at those sweet scared eyes...she would look up and then look down at us that just screamed, "WHAT IS GOING ON! I DO NOT LIKE THIS!!"

Then we clipped it on Bagel...interested for about 2 seconds...

And was immediately interested in something else other than any of the people around here. I don't think she really likes anyone but her self anymore. She even bullies Bridgeport around. It is pretty amazing to watch.

For instance, this massive bone was a gift from Philip to Bridgeport. Bagel decided quite quickly that she deserves it more...

...and now it is all hers!

Breanna & Sean's wedding

My sweet childhood friend Breanna (Orr) married her fabulous long-time boyfriend, Sean Neal this past Saturday in Dallas. It was a lovely outdoor wedding at a friends home. It had rained all day long but cleared up right before the wedding and ended up being a wonderful evening!

The location of the wedding. A beautiful home
